What exactly is Pade — is it a CRM or another chatbot?+
Neither. Pade is a WhatsApp-first business operations platform — think of it as the digital version of the Ajé book traders already keep, except it also creates invoices and payment links, tracks your stock, records who owes you, and chases payments for you. It sits alongside the WhatsApp chats you already have with customers and turns them into proper financial records.
Do my customers need to download an app or create a Pade account?+
No. Your customers receive invoices and payment links on the WhatsApp they already use. They open the link, pay by card, transfer or USSD, and get a receipt — nothing to install and no account to create. You're the only one with a Pade account.
How do I record a sale, debt or invoice — do I have to fill long forms?+
Just type it the way you'd say it. Send Pade "Amaka picked up 3 ankara dresses, she'll pay ₦27,000 on Friday" on WhatsApp and Pade creates the customer, the debt and the due date — then asks if it should remind her Friday morning. You can also do everything from the web dashboard, and the Pade Assistant lets you create invoices, log payments and ask questions in plain language.
Does Pade understand Pidgin and the way I actually type?+
Yes. Pade is built on a Nigerian SME corpus and works across English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. It understands amounts like "15k", "two-fifty" and "half a million", and links informal names like "Mama Tope" or "Chidi the phone guy" to the right customer. You always review what it captured before anything saves or sends.
How can my customers actually pay me?+
Every invoice and payment link carries a live Pay Now button powered by Paystack (Nigeria) or Flutterwave (other African markets). Customers can pay by card, bank transfer or USSD, and you can also log cash manually. When a payment lands, Pade auto-matches it to the right invoice or debt, marks it paid, generates a receipt and notifies you instantly.
Can I get a dedicated account number for bank-transfer payments?+
Yes — Pade can provision a dedicated NUBAN account (a Collection Account) for your business. Share the number, customers pay in by transfer, and Pade automatically credits the balance, matches it to open invoices, and sweeps the money to your own bank account daily or on demand. Activation is owner-only and may require BVN verification; changing your payout account needs SMS OTP confirmation.
What are Payment Links, and how are they different from an invoice?+
A Payment Link is a reusable URL (e.g. pade.ng/pay/your-name) you create once and share anywhere — WhatsApp status, Instagram bio, a printed QR code. Unlike an invoice, which is tied to one transaction, a link can be paid by hundreds of people. You choose reusable, one-time or limited-use, and either a fixed price or a "customer enters the amount" link. Payment Links are a Pro feature.
Does Pade take a cut of my sales or payments?+
No. Pade is a flat subscription with 0% commission on payments collected through your invoices, payment links and Collection Account. Whether you collect ₦100k or ₦10M in a month, 100% of the money goes to you — the price stays the same.
Will Pade message my customers without my permission or spam them?+
No. Auto-reminders are off by default — you switch them on. When enabled, the default schedule is a friendly nudge on day 7, a firmer one with a payment link on day 14, and an urgent reminder on day 30, and you can exclude any customer. You can also send one-off reminders manually with a friendly, firm or urgent tone. If a customer disputes a balance, all reminders pause automatically.
What does the morning WhatsApp briefing actually tell me?+
Every morning at 8am (Lagos time) Pade sends a short WhatsApp summary: what you collected yesterday, how much you're owed right now, the most urgent balance to chase today, and the top customer to follow up. You also get a weekly recap on Mondays and a monthly summary on the 1st — so you see your cash position without opening the dashboard.
What's free, and what do I get when I upgrade to Pro?+
The Free plan is genuinely useful: up to 20 customers, 50 debts, 5 invoices a month, 3 manual reminders, inventory and chat with Pade on WhatsApp. Pro removes the limits and unlocks auto-reminder workflows, payment links, the morning/weekly briefings, payment-intent detection, media analysis (receipts, photos, voice notes), team access, data export and full reports.
How much does Pade cost, and is there a trial?+
The Free plan is free forever. Pro is ₦5,500/month, or ₦50,000/year if you pay annually (about 24% off). Every account starts with a 14-day Pro trial — no card charged during the trial — and you can cancel anytime. No setup fees and no per-message charges.
Do I need a WhatsApp Business API or special setup to connect?+
No technical setup. You can simply save the Pade WhatsApp number and start chatting, or connect your own WhatsApp Business number in Settings using Meta's official Embedded Signup — a few taps through the Facebook login dialog. Your access tokens are encrypted and never exposed in the browser.
Can my staff use the same account?+
Yes, on Pro. Invite team members (delivered by SMS) with role-based access: Owner has full control including billing and settings, Admin manages debts, customers and payments, and Member can view and record transactions. Sensitive settings always stay with the Owner.
Is my business and customer data safe?+
Yes. Pade is built by NISOLABS LIMITED in Abuja and complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and NDPR. All service data is stored in Nigeria, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+), and your private chats are never used to train AI models. We don't sell your data, and you can export everything to CSV or Excel — or delete it — at any time.
Can I use Pade for Instagram customers too?+
Yes — if you bought from a customer on Instagram, Pade can send reminders by Instagram DM when your Business/Creator account is linked to a Facebook Page. Note that Instagram only allows replies to customers who messaged you first within the last 24 hours, so Pade can't cold-message people there the way it can on your own WhatsApp.
